OTE continuously accepts online applications for on-call intermittent Rest Area Technicians at all rest area locations. See the description of what the duties and expectations are below. (*Please note that these are “as-needed” positions and technicians may be required to work with short-notice.)

Rest Area Technician duties and position summary

The Rest Area Technician: Has no set schedule or regular number of work hours; Performs janitorial, rest area maintenance, and additional duties on an as-needed basis; Often covers weekend and holiday shifts; Reports to the Rest Area Supervisor (or the Rest Area Operations Manager when the supervisor is not available). Technician positions are located across the state, not just in Salem.

The scope of duties and pay rate for these positions is detailed in the job posting. As each OTE rest area location is unique, this position may perform some, all, or additional duties, according to the specific needs of the assigned rest area location. Interested?
