If you are visiting Las Vegas for the glitz and gambling, then the obvious choice as far as accommodation is concerned is the Strip. This famous, casino-lined boulevard is packed with extravagant hotels and casinos. To avoid excessive noise, hustle and bustle, you may want to find a hotel that doesn’t have a casino attached, and possibly avoid staying on the Strip itself. It is also worth noting that hotel rates are generally significantly cheaper during the week than at weekends when they are at a premium. It may not have quite the same glamour as the Strip, but frequent shuttle buses connect the two areas making it a convenient base.
